Responsible for facilitating the establishment and implementation of the Association’s mission and vision as well as the daily management of the organization and the venue. This included creating annual plans and budgets, writing grant writing and coordination, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, working with the board of directors to develop organizational policy, implementing strategies to strengthen the board and the organization, human resource and volunteer management and ensuring sound financial management.

Responsible for grant writing and coordination (federal, state, and foundation proposals), promotional and marketing plans, and other communication needs. Participated in the design and development of local economic development strategies.

Responsible for providing technical assistance to local governments (municipalities and municipal associations), private sector companies, and civil society in Honduras. The focus of the technical assistance included: • participatory planning, allocation, and management of public funds; • environmental governance (decentralization of water services, social and environmental audits of small hydroelectric generating plants/transmission lines, etc.) as well as • local economic development planning and implementation.Contributor to three SNV corporate committees – monitoring and evaluation committee, local economic development committee and capacity development committee. Translated stories of eight women from Spanish into English for the Nobel Peace Prize nominees in the 1000 Women for Peace project.

Created and managed a consultancy company as well as facilitated the design, creation, implemenation, monitoring, and/or evaluation of a number of contracts. Provided leadership and coordination for the development of a communication strategy for the formulation and implementation of District Development Project Pilot – a fiscal decentralization pilot project through the Ministry of Local Government, Uganda (East Africa).

• Provided development communication and other program support (strategic planning, reviewing program plans, budgeting, etc.) to programs and partners in Asia, Africa, Latin America as well as WN headquarters. • Managed the Development Communications Department (planning, budgeting, reporting, and staff and volunteer guidance) and oversaw the production of audio-visual materials. • Strengthened community-based organizations in areas of communication and decision-making flows, board development, and financial management.• Program Coordinator of the Families First! and World Neighbors Joint Community Development Program in the inner-city of Oklahoma City, World Neighbors, May 1993 to January 1996.
