Dedra is the architect of enterprise wide strategies to curb the total medical spend of attributed patient populations spanning 6 states. Dedra set the overall strategic plan while driving product adoption and driving growth through renewals and net retention improvements. Focused on managed care organizations, Dedra implemented programs to reduce and prevent chronic disease with contracting featuring up and downside risk APMs. Dedra approaches Customer Success outcomes with data driven intentionality to reduce churn and maximize NPS. She is knowledgeable in cross-sell and up-sell tactics to Influence future lifetime value through higher product adoption, customer satisfaction and overall health scores for clients committed to reducing food insecurity among its membership and/or employees.

This role showcased Dedra's ability to work in highly ambiguous and start up environments. As the director, Dedra launched a value based care program covering 40k members while directing HEDIS gap closure and scaling clinical teams. Recruited to join Foodsmart in January 2022.

Dedra directed the strategic operations of a portfolio of national value based care programs with full P&L responsibility. She scaled a national team of 40 nurse practitioners, provider relations specialists and nurses to manage chronically ill patients and reduce medical spend. Her scope included negotiating quality incentive contracts, provider network management and delivering clinical outcomes.

Dedra oversaw the Medicare operations of a mid sized regional health plan in Texas. Annually Dedra managed the CMS Readiness Assessment, CMS bid in addition to partnering with Member Experience and Sales to beat enrollment goals. She served as the Chair of the Star Rating Improvement Committee from July 2014-March 2016. Dedra also consulted on Quality Improvement matters including HEDIS, CAHPS and HOS.

Alterity Group provides consulting services and benefits procurement for private equity firms. Dedra contributed her public health expertise and account management skills to provide cost savings to companies seeking either to reduce their health care spend via creating healthier workers and/or obtain more competitive rates on health insurance or ancillary products. Dedra maintains a license to sell health, life and AD&D insurance.

Dedra worked on numerous HEDIS and CMS Data Validation audit teams. She enjoyed this client facing role as it allowed her to gain hands on experience in evaluating the processes of health plans across the United States. Dedra assisted in the auditing of award winning health plans on the east coast as well as smaller plans in the pacific northwest. She exercised her project management skills to support the firm's internal operations and client specific auditing tasks.

In this role, Dedra built relationships with solo and group medical practices throughout Travis and Williamson counties. Dedra successfully met her goals by leveraging relationships to generate revenue for the medical specialties at Scott and White. Here, Dedra reported to the hospital CEO, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, the Director of Hospice/Home Health and the Director of Physician Relations. She loved being able to improve the experiences of providers and consumers as they interacted with Scott and White via her work to improve operations.
