Responsible for all quality, production, and technical related aspects with daily management within Carbon Anode Manufacturing department.

- Responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical Health and Safety plans to drive fatality prevention, increase risk recognition and reduce injuries/incidents for facility of 600+ employees.- Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and identify all requirements that apply or may apply to the facility.- Lead, mentor and support the location's professional Health and Safety staff- Drive root cause analyses of industrial accidents to reduce / eliminate hazard.

- Maximize efficiency while minimizing safety and environmental hazards- Test / evaluate process changes to improve quality, production and reduce the cost of production- Coordinate and evaluate R&D projects- Responsible for technical training and hiring of technical personnel- Integrate the transfer of technologies/processes across organization and other ALOCA locations involving anode and cathode manufacturing and application.

- Manage, direct, and motivate employees to achieve department production and safety goals- Focus on Lean Manufacturing principals to improve quality, stability and efficiency- Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets $10-$35 million annually- Team leader of global technology team across four locations located in Brazil, Australia, and United States. Responsible for managing anode technology transfer, auditing performance to best practice standard, quality improvement, and raw material testing / selection

- Responsible for the leadership, management and operation of assigned areas including safety, anode production, quality, environmental, planning, auditing, scheduling, cost, and repairs- Train and develop front line supervision- Develop safety procedures and programs - Assure Daily Management Systems, standardized work (5S), problem solving, auditing, suggestions system are deployed and implemented- Develop and maintain SPC programs for all applicable incoming raw material and anode production data.

- Provide technical advice and services on routine operational problems- Participate in all aspects of the anode production operations, including raw material scheduling, quality control, and statistical process control- Alpha location and SPA to test and approve alternative raw material. Material was then approved for production use across North America as a result of internal testing- ISO 9000 and 14000 internal auditor- Manage COOP student program
