I have a background in sales and customer service, but returned to school as an adult to pursue my lifelong dream of writing. I attended University of California, Irvine, where I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA in 2023. During my time there, I was a part of the Humanities Honors program. My thesis, a memoir on domestic violence, was selected for the program's prize of "Best Thesis" for my use of excellent literary style. In Summer of 2022, I was a Digital Humanities fellow completing a creative writing and technology fusion project. I was selected for the campus UTeach program in 2023, based on my original course concept, "Graphic Memoirs," which was offered to all undergraduates at UCI that year.Immediately following my graduation, I continued to teach workshops on the foundations of memoir writing through the Orange County Library system. In 2024, I joined Phi Beta Kappa's magazine, The Key Reporter, as an editorial writing intern before gaining regular employment as a afterschool teacher through Sylvan Learning. I am a clever and tenacious writer praised for my attention to producing high-quality work quickly. With a steadily growing audience, a true passion for literature, I demonstrate a brave, authentic authorial voice and move easily between roles as an educator and writer, finding fulfillment in each.
