Hr Business Partner
Current Developed the Learning and Development Department within the company Liaising with Senior Management and clients to assess the needs of apprentices and training for staff Aligning company objectives Ensuring that every three months, there is a rotation between apprentices to be on various client sites. Company objective as a collective of the company, is to save money and ensure we ‘grow’ our own engineers. By having highly trained apprentices moving into the roles of junior engineers, ensures that costs can be kept to a minimum and engineers are molded to that of the business needs. Identifying skills gap in new and existing employees This is done by creating a skills gap analysis and understanding the job/task at hand and what skills the individual currently possesses. Developing employees to meet new roles within the business Part of this is looking for suitable study routes and programmes that best fit the needs of the individual and the business. The other part is using material/experience and knowledge to create basic training specific to the business. Recruiting and developing apprentices We take on 5 apprentices every quarter and do so by holding an assessment center every month. Within the assessment center we hold a range of activities to identify the best candidates. I.e. this could range from interviews, group exercises, tests, presentations etc. Running assessment centres Inducting new employees This involves inducting the new employee into the working environment, creating and going through their contracts, obtaining relevant material and information for references and CRB checks and ensuring that they have the right to work in the country etc. Maintaining client relationships Developing processes and procedures to meet ISO 9001 standards
