I offer consultancy and advocacy services linked to corporate sustainability, risks and business decision-making. I identify potential risks to businesses from environmental and social issues. My experience is built up from my work in the bio-energy industry. While offering my services, I build upon my integrated knowledge and experience of over 20 years and connecting with local governments, universities, NGOs and businesses. I have worked with people across different languages and cultural backgrounds. A bit about me : I have been interested in concepts around sustainability since 1992 when the first UNCSD (Rio Earth Summit) took place in Rio de Janeiro and the subsequent setting up of the UN CBD. The epic book by Rachel Carson, The Silent Spring, and seminal work on Ecosystems and Human Well-being (the Millennium Assessment) have made a deep impression. Other influencers are TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity) and the work carried out by Robert Constanza and others on economics of ecosystem services. I have adapted the ecological- economics framework to analyse the sustainability of farming systems for my PhD thesis. Sustainability concepts have grown tremendously over the years, but the ecological foundations remain the same. “Good Ecology is Good Business” quoted very simply by Prof M.S Swaminathan, World Food Prize Laureate.“Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values” - The Dalai Lama
