As the number of electronic components keeps increasing with the development of new features in the vehicles, the number of in-car sensors could be more than a few hundred in the near future. The physical wires connecting the ECUs and the sensors could become problematic due to weight, cost & routing of wires. Introducing wireless network in vehicular communication will result in easy installation/interface of any new sensor in a secure network without making separate wire routing and modification in ECU. Project 1PSR ,it’s a costal surveillance radar, typically consists of a standard and advanced solid state radar operating in X-Band (9.3-9.5 GHz). In order to launch sounding rockets, the impact zone of the same needs to be cleared. To meet this requirement, Primary Surveillance Radar, with detection capability of medium sized ships up to a distance of 100km, has been designed..It is capable of detecting small boats (10 meter square RCS) as well as large boats up to a wide range whilst also meeting target separation and accuracy parameters. PSR is required to ensure the target types can be detected and tracked in the designated area covered by the vessel traffic service, taking into account the visibility, sea state and propagation condition relevant for the individual radar site.My Contribution:Radar Calculation including range detection capacity, fading effects, atmospheric attenuation etc.System design (Mostly RF Section)Designed Synthesizer module for providing LO signal for two stage down conversion and up conversion.Designed BITE Module for simulating the receiver chain over the dynamic range (i.e 90dB).Designed X4 multiplier module for tuning the LO signal over the bandwidth (200 MHz)Design up gradation for existing down converter module and up converter module as per project power level requirements.Documents preparation such as Acceptance Test Plan, System requirement document, Test procedures and Test reports for the newly designed modules.System components selectionTechnical Support the software and mechanical team.Module level testing and debugging.Integrated Radar testingModule level as well as system level failure analysis
