The summarized information is periodically transferred to the cloud (prototypes have been built on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS) where it is analyzed and presented. Based on the reports shown at a high level, the user can drill down to individual probes to look at the actual captured packets.My main contribution is to work on the ingestion path (transfer of information to the cloud). The solution had to take care of the potential 1000s of customers who might use the service. Each customer could have a any number of sensors. Right from 1 sensor to several hundreds. Data security/isolation, latency and bandwidth used are the main considerations. The large amount of data gathered can also be used to model the network traffic for each customer using machine learning algorithms. Show less
