Hi, I am Deepank, a marketer by profession, and an explorer by choice.I have always been a mediocre student throughout my life. Even though I managed to pass all my exams without any fail, books and I didn’t jell much together.During my 2nd year of graduation, I joined a voluntary youth organization and became an active member. I worked there for a couple of years. During my first year, I worked on multiple projects and campaigns and explored my interest in marketing. Next year, I stepped up the ladder in the leadership role and was heading the marketing initiatives for the organization. Well, that’s for the first time, I was leading a portfolio and learning at the same time (more of on-the-job training).By the end of my graduation, I had realized what I want and started pursuing an MBA. What happened in those two years is a different story for some other time.Careers360, one of the prominent players in the Ed-tech industry in India, was then a startup and trying to build on the marketing side. I joined Careers360 in 2015 to help them tap the unexplored market and increase brand visibility. On my 10th day in the company, I was given a team of 7 trainees to experiment and bring my ideas to reality. Within 7 months, I was promoted to Senior Analyst and was leading the marketing wing with a team of crazy minds from various B-Schools. Even received the recruit of the year award.From merely 10 reviews, we scaled up the market to reach 100,000 reviews by applying a well-planned and executed growth strategy. In 2017, I decided to exit from Careers360 and take on the next challenge.Infoedge (Naukri.com & Shiksha.com), one of the pioneers in the Internet industry in India, a $7 Bn market cap company, had plans to expand its marketing reach. In 2017, I joined them as the Marketing manager. Since then, helping them to find new customers & grow exponentially by experimenting and leveraging brand and digital marketing initiatives. In 2018, I took on some personal projects to develop Shopify and WordPress websites for an eCommerce brand.
