I was the senior scientist at Locus Ingredients, a biotechnology company that produces biosurfactants from renewable feedstocks for personal care and various other applications. With over 10 years of research experience in organic/polymer synthesis and materials chemistry, I lead an interdisciplinary team of scientists that developed biosurfactants for the purpose of developing commercial products for the home/personal care, industrial cleaning, and CASE markets.I am passionate about investigating advanced materials using sustainable chemistry principles in order to have a positive impact on society and the environment. I have contributed to multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating my expertise in polymer chemistry, 4D printing, smart materials, organic synthesis, and nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems. I am proficient in various materials identification, characterization, and structure elucidation techniques (spectroscopy, chromatography, etc.).
