As a sailor, atmospheric and oceanic science has been a part of my life for many years, far before I began studying it at University of Maryland, College Park. Through my studies and research at NOAA's Ocean Prediction Center, my passion has grown stronger, and I am now the first person to have graduated from the University of Maryland with a combined B.S./M.S., from a 4+1 year program, in atmospheric and oceanic science. Recently, I started my career as a meteorologist with the National Weather Service at the Jacksonville, Florida Weather Forecast Office. I am grateful to be able to pursue a career I am passionate about, and I look forward to finding out what my future holds!
