I served as the Opening Convention Service Manager, coordinating all the details of the conference programs, including food, beverage, rooming list, contract concessions, meeting space set-up, audiovisual and billing details. While at it, I successfully managed a 3-week Mercedes Benz new car launch event.

With my exceptional performance, I was promoted through various ranks to become the company’s General Manager. Some of my contributions include overseeing various functions, including managing the company’s financial and accounting as well as spearheading the activities of the company’s community outreach programs. To achieve set growth, revenue, sales, and profits targets, I aggressively promoted and marketed the business’ products soliciting new retail accounts while maintaining the existing ones. We had to increase the brand’s awareness to new clients and to achieve this feat, I liaised with third-party firms in coordinating public relations, marketing, and advertising.Moreover, I directed and managed trade show booth design, set-up, and events. I would also brainstorm with designers in developing and implementing new ideas for jewelry. Lastly, I increased retailers from 2 to 9 for the jewelry designer.

My position entailed providing direct oversight for over 30 team members and liaising with the Cities of Seattle, Mercer Island and Bellevue on ongoing Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management projects. I also oversaw all operations of the private community which had 344 homes with a median price point of $1.2M on Lake Washington and included a clubhouse, pool, multiple tennis courts, sports teams, and a 119-slip marina.

I oversaw all aspects for 3-5 meetings a month that ranged from 50 guests to 3,000.

I was responsible for the Meetings & Convention Services Department that included the managers, assistants and the audio visual department. Our budget for the department was $5M.
