I had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles in their Resource Development department, on the Events team. I started working with Habitat as an AmeriCorps VISTA and got to work on staff after my term finished.

As a development intern I was able to work on two of the annual fundraising events, contacting donors and use the Raiser's Edge platform. This position was a great opportunity to gain experience in donor management, researching prospects, and project management.

In the Fall I worked on the Austin Pet's Alive! marketing team as a MarCom intern. During my position I remotely researched for insights, created graphics, communicated with donors, designed animated logos and wrote promotional interest stories. APA! also created space for me to do planned interviews and photograph animals and staff on site safely. As an intern I also learned more about Adobe After Effects, nonprofit logistics, video editing, interviewing tactics, email etiquette, marketing, company partnerships, donors and more!

Through the years I have helped the PPF in the capacity that I can. The majority of my contribution has been helping with digital design for press releases, brochures and photos. In 2020 I led the Peace Seeker Award video team in 2020 General Assembly. In 2014 I was able to photograph the General Assembly in Detroit,MI.

As a Young Life Leader I hung out with high school girls, help set up weekly clubs and photographed club for the instagram promotions. Young Life was a way to make college about giving back instead of only about me. After serving at Westwood I switched to pouring into freshmen girls as a resident assistant at Scottish Rite Dormitory for UT.

To fulfill this role requires taking high resolution photos for websites, social media and print publications. Major magazines like 360 West have published shoots I have done for this show.

The most challenging and rewarding work is every summer at Camp El Tesoro. Leading dozens safely of kids all under the age of 13 for weeks on end, getting trained to be a counselor and ensuring the further educational yet exciting experiences of camp were all accomplished at Camp El Tesoro.
