I run Edge Infrastructure Engineering at Fastly. The key pillars are Edge Systems, Network Architecture, Hardware Engineering and Edge Delivery Platforms. Tesuto was a hyper-scale network emulation platform.With Tesuto, network operators could create a clone of their production networks in the cloud. The cloud instances ran on the same software they have on physical devices for comprehensive testing, training and analysis. In 2020, Tesuto platform was acquired by Fastly.

At EdgeCast I was leading the Performance Engineering team. A team of full-stack engineers focused on ideas that can make CDN faster. We were measuring the key metrics of CDN performance worldwide and often times had to work on the most complex problems of a global delivery network. A typical day at EdgeCast Performance team involved a lot of scripting, network routing optimization, working on TCP congestion controls, Kernel performance tuning, working with large datasets and making sense out of datasets by using Business Intelligence tools.
