My role at Fred played a big part in this growth and success.- We were early adopters, and I helped spearhead business-wide agile transformation while leading a high-performing development team of 7.- Began moving technology into Azure to enable SaaS solutions.- We delivered the next evolution of the company's front-of-shop, back-office, eHealth, drug management, pharmacy dispensary and patient care solutions.- Delivered a revolutionary cloud-based Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive program, which stores over a billion electronic prescription requests, as well as designing the National Prescription and Dispense Repository (NPDR) for the Australian Government - a conformant medications repository of the PCEHR.

- Network, data centre and domain administration. - Manage backups, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and (Forigate) Firewalls.- Configuration and documentation of HP SANs blade servers and rack/data centre.- Initiated technical components of the company’s Business Continuity Plan.

- Designed and built Fred's retail applications: point-of-sale system, mobile hand-held devices for stock control, ordering gateways and centralised drug management.- Pre-sales technical work, including delivering and demonstrating prototype solutions to large pharmacy/retail groups such as Terry White, Priceline, etc. - Solutions meet requirements to manage and distribute data to multiple stores for back-office functionality, including stock/product management, purchase ordering and invoicing, price/promotional control, etc.- One of the key integrations I was in charge of was CRM billing for eRx, which allowed for secure electronic drug prescription exchange between 11,000 doctors and 6,000 pharmacies via 18 external software integrations.- Built telemetric, licensing and update delivery platform for cloud-based error tracking and crash reporting service. (Before the likes of Raygun, NewRelic, etc).

- The role combined team coordination, problem and bug triage and prioritisation, software development and technical and tactical decision-making.- Designed and built LDAP integration piece for purposes of single-sign-on.- Built a Debian-based package build system to support a new subversion scheme and included a ‘point release’ mechanism for multiple product version support.

- Developing a multi-tiered eLearning delivery platform in Perl.- Implementation of ‘Web 2.0’ upgrade components to the software, including AJAX and JavaScript interactive components.- Technologies used within the solution included squid, POP & IMAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, monitoring (Nagios), and DNS (BIND).

- I implemented a new performance and load-testing strategy using OpenSTA and Perl to rate the performance of HTTP, IMAP, and proxy (Squid) protocols.- Set up and maintain a virtual XEN 'cloud' environment to spin up new templated hardware, networking and software Debian environments for development and testing.
