I was raised to grow an interest in finance. My father has worked as a private investor most of his life, following the footsteps of my grandfather. Once I was old enough, I started to gradually learn more about what my dad does and how he revolves his career around the stock market. He has shown me specific strategies he has used to become a successful investor. I have even watched movies with him about the world of finance, and through these experiences, I have grown a deep interest in studying this field. My interest in finance has led me to start my own investment account with Charles Schwab, and I own stocks in companies such as Nike and Walmart. I watch the stocks frequently and am always analyzing other companies for potential investments. Additionally, I took a finance course online that has taught me how to properly analyze a stock through catalysts, competitors, and valuations. This has been valuable to me because I now know how to thoroughly analyze a stock and determine if it is worth an investment. The course has also deepened my knowledge of other aspects of finance such as the buy and sell side, venture capitalism, and investment banking.I am eager to expand my knowledge in finance by improving my expertise in the stock market and be able to analyze it in an advanced way. My goal is to one day work for a top firm.
