Co-founded an "office pool" website that enabled people to run football, basketball, and other sports pools for their co-workers, friends, and family. I was responsible for the development and operations of the website code, which was coded with Ruby on Rails and deployed to Amazon Web Services.

As a consultant, I was assigned to several different customers in the roles of developer and architect, including as a team lead. Each time I landed at a customer site, I had to quickly learn how the team worked and what was required of me. This gave me excellent experience for getting up to speed with people and processes, requiring me to stretch my soft.

My role was to setup an enterprise integration capability, which involved establishing SOA best practices and a Center of Excellence. I led the evaluation of integration software vendors, which one was eventually selected. From there, I set a foundation for how integrations would be built and a team began to be formed by the customer.

As part of a large program to replace a core system, the project I was on was responsible for all integration functionality. An enterprise integration capability was needed and I worked with the customer team to build this up. This involved bringing in new Enterprise Service Bus and MQ technology then establishing best practices for developing integrations.

I designed and developed Java-based solutions for integrating systems, using XML data formats, as part of a large project to consolidate the customer's customer management systems.
