The agency was originally looking for a senior media designer, so once I applied for the role, I was given an assessment to complete. Apparently, I had exceeded expectations and was offered the role of Creative Lead instead, with the task of raising the quality of the creative output of the studio. To this day, we are going strong, creating epic work for major brands like Absa, Pepsi, Vodacom, FNB, and GHD to name a few.

In 2019 I was head hunted by Superside to help build the motion graphics offering. Working closely with the creative director we developed the product with all its sub categories (Logo builds, explainer videos & social media ads etc). Once the product went live, I moved into the Creative Team & Account Lead role. Overseeing projects, mentoring motion & graphic designers.

I would take clients through presentations & concepts, art direct projects and provide creative direction during projects. Other task were review creatives and their performances, having one-on-one sesions setting KPI's, supporting creatives to manage a good work life balance, and help maintain good working relationships.

I joined the design agency to follow my passion to craft my designs, the environment allowed me to flourish working on some fantastic brands. Creating awesome designs for all types of media and collateral right through to conceptual campaigns. A few of the brand I worked on were Lentheric, Simply Asia, Vergenoegd Wine Estate, AM Fresh Foods & a few famous whiskey brands Singleton, Monkeys Shoulder.I worked with a diverse team of creatives all pulling together to create award winning work. Over the years I was there we won 5 Loerie Awards for Design, Craft Illustration and Packaging Design.
