Derrick is a non-traditional, no-nonsense, forward-thinking sales and leadership coach.Derrick entered B2B telecommunication sales in 1999 and earned Rookie of the Year with a regional Ameritech distributor. Consecutive President’s Club Awards fast tracked him into sales management. As Regional Sales Manager, Derrick was tasked to build sales teams across the Great Lakes Region. His responsibilities included all aspects of the sales process along with talent development and culture. His achievements were rewarded by being promoted to Director of Sales, overseeing Sales for the company.Derrick has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and in 2007, he launched Breakthrough Consulting Group in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Connecting People with Solutions” is the core principle for his process and organization. Derrick works with his clients as a leadership coach, developing vision and company culture.
