• Derrick has more than 11 years’ experience in R&D tax incentive, enterprise incentive and grants consulting with KPMG in Singapore. • Derrick has technical background and has assisted several companies in successful claims under R&D and Incentives (e.g. R&D Tax incentive) from various industries including engineering, construction, electronics, information technology, transport/logistics, chemical and food.• Derrick has also assisted companies on tax incentive and grants related matters (e.g. productivity incentive applications, technology grants, environmental and sustainability grants).

• Led a team of 4 team members handling data transfer matters between ACRA and 20 stakeholders. This includes identifying and resolving technical issues and liaising with stakeholders on technical queries under a time sensitive environment.• Maintained data standards/integrity and documentation and collaborated with inter-division managers to implement new policies (i.e. data storage and archiving procedures) to govern data management and flow.• Identified new business requirements input from various stakeholders, and translated these business ideas into practical and workable IT solutions (e.g. upgrading of the existing database to include new corporate information required by the business legislations). • Led a major data management system revamp (for approximately 6 months) where millions of data records were migrated to a brand new system, with minimal operation disruptions. In this exercise, I coordinated rigorous data verification tests with various divisions in ACRA.
