Create 2d and 3d renders for use in job quotes and marketing materials.

This job required that I lead the design team, teach the design team relevant skills, create advertisements, create rough page layouts, create finished page layouts, discuss story ideas with other members of management, revamp the design aesthetic of our newspaper to better connect with our intended audience, orchestrate workflow among production team, submit finalized newspaper to the printer, aid in headline creation, as well as lending a hand to the copy editors. We also lacked a photo editor while I was in this position, so it was my duty to contact our photographers to ensure we would get the photos we needed for each story.

I was tasked with creating page layouts, graphics, scouring for photos from our wire and, when necessary, taking photos myself.

I was in charge of tutoring services for every class offered within my degree. This meant that I helped students understand how to use programs in the Adobe Design Suite, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I also helped them with design concepts concerning layout, typography, color theory, and more.
