Duties include: • Creating weekly, monthly, and annual reports on behalf of Heliophysics Communications and Outreach team to internal and external audiences. • Project manage mission launch communications campaigns from inception to completion. This includes writing launch communications plans, developing and maintaining guest lists, and assisting with launch broadcast planning (coordinating live shots with mission spokespeople, developing talking points, etc.). • Project manage large Heliophysics Communications and Outreach team efforts and campaigns from inception to completion. o This includes conferences such as the annual American Geophysical Union meeting, American Meteorological Society meeting, and more. • Liaise with Heliophysics Communications team to ensure all content is aligned with Heliophysics and agency communication strategies. • Collaborate with Heliophysics Communications team on developing standard operating procedures (SOP). • Create briefing materials (presentations, reports, and spreadsheets) for Heliophysics scientists and leadership. • Develop and proofread public facing content, including blog posts, social media content, and web features. o NASA Sun Science on Facebook has 1.5 million followers and NASA Sun and Space on X has 1 million followers. • Develop communications processes and procedures for Heliophysics mission partners and provide administrative support as needed. o This includes the 21 active missions, 14 future missions, three Diversify, Realize, Integrate, Venture, Educate Science Centers, and three Space Weather Centers of Excellence centers.
