• Revamped and modernized museum registration documents, encompassing temporary custody receipts, condition forms, and others• Managed all interactions with the museum's collections management system, PastPerfect, including the management of object and donor data for the extensive Hampton University Museum collection, exceeding 10,000 objects• Led a comprehensive inventory of the museum's extensive collection, consisting of over 10,000 objects, while overseeing two staff members recruited specifically for the inventory project• Digitized various multimedia formats, including VHS tapes, cassette tapes, slides, and photographs, as part of the institutional records management initiative I spearheaded• Contributed to the planning and execution of diverse programs, including Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to Hampton University, the launch of art prints by Preston Sampson, and numerous other initiatives• Initiated a redesign project for the Hampton University Museum website• Managed all aspects of incoming and outgoing loan requests, including handling shipping logistics, and paperwork associated with new acquisitions• Led a highly effective marketing campaign resulting in the selection of one of Hampton University Museum's artifacts, "Christ in the Manger" by Francis Musangogwantamu, as one of Virginia's Top 10 Endangered Artifacts for 2024 by the Virginia Association of Museums• Contributed to restoration efforts following significant water damage in December 2023, including the recovery of artifacts as a first museum responder to the event, meetings with insurance, shipment and contractors for the storage of artifacts• Aided the University President in personal projects, including the preservation of personal historical books and the salvage and recovery of personal belongings following the Administration Building fire in March 2023• Supervised one to two work-study employees on diverse projects
