Industry Focus: Financial Markets - Treasury and Fixed Income Onshore.Context:The largest Brazilian private bank by market value and the most valuable brand in Latin America moves millions/billions of reais in its treasury. Financial operations data from fixed income and treasury are harmonized through a large and centralized ETL pipeline, causing numerous failures, difficulties in expanding and consuming the data, operational failures due to minor errors, and domain rupture risk if anyone modifies data on one end, impacting everyone involved.Roles: My main objective is to modernize this legacy system with the best Architecture Solution design patterns, utilizing AWS to implement ETL/ELT pipelines, model data for NoSQL databases and data warehouses, establish data governance to minimize the impact on data consumers (consumers: Business Control), implement data quality audits, and democratize data access following the DataMesh standard - data physically distributed, yet integrated.Impactful Contributions:- FinOps: I managed to save a few hundred dollars per month by suggesting a step-functions mesh instead of relying on an AWS Glue job for handling small raw data.- Inner Source: Develop a design pattern for a data pipeline incorporating features such as partition creation, AWS Glue job execution, error handling, and alarms. This pattern enabled other teams to leverage its capabilities through a shared library, leading to significant cost savings in the company's development efforts and fostering the exchange of technical expertise among teams.- Data Governance: Listening to Traders and Business control to assess how to best meet their needs with data democratization

Industry Focus: Financial Services - POS and PDV terminalsContext:Redecard is a Brazilian multi-brand acquirer with 25 brands in its portfolio, for credit and debit card transactions, prepayment of receivables to merchants.Roles:- Modernizing parts of the Financial Transaction Authorization System.- AWS Architectural Design: Crafting robust and resilient architectures on AWS, I orchestrated the integration of Batch, Lambdas, S3, Parameter Store, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, and Event Bridge (...). These initiatives substantially bolstered system performance and scalability.Impactful Contributions:- FinOps: Assuming a pivotal role in cloud financial management, I implemented strategic measures that culminated in a cost reduction of approximately $2400 dollars (bearing in mind the currency conversion rate in Brazil, equivalent to approximately R$12,000 reais). Through resource optimization and the implementation of streamlined allocation strategies, I ensured the judicious utilization of cloud services while mitigating unnecessary expenditures. - By spearheading the migration of segments of the system from C++ to Python3, I executed a comprehensive refactoring of the existing codebase. This transition yielded notable advancements in maintainability, rendering the system more efficient and user-friendly.

In the pilot project of artificial intelligence for PHYGITAL Marketing, my contribution was in the development and implementation of a computer vision model for urban traffic analysis. This system integrated data and information from IoT sensors to provide valuable insights into user behavior in urban areas.
