Ms Devi Udayakumar is currently Head of Low Vision Rehabilitation Services. She is a Low vision care specialist She was recently working at Voluntary Health Services (VHS), Chennai. She has more than 7 years of experience in Tertiary eye care centers in Chennai which includes more than 2 and half years’ experience in Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Nearly 4+ years are devoted to the field of Low vision care in VHS. She visits and teaches Low vision care in TSNA to under-graduate students and to post-graduate students. She completed her Bachelors's in Optometry in 2008 from Elite School of Optometry, Chennai (University-BITS, Pilani). She also completed her PGDM in Quality Management in Healthcare in 2018 from Symbiosis Centre for Health Care, Pune. She also completed the Certificate Course in ‘Medical Genetics and Genetic Counseling for Optometrists’ from MYGENEDx under Dr. G. Kumaramanickavel (MD), in February 2021. Devi has an interest in research and innovative ideas in the field of Vision Rehabilitation and is widely regarded for her subject matter expertise in the field and has presented and participated in numerous national conferences.
