Serves as a Contingency Contracting Team Leader / Contract Specialist integrated with the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Leavenworth; an operational contracting office with an average annual business activity of over 750 actions obligating more than $215 million for IT, commodities, services, and minor construction. Responsible for performing the full range of pre-award base operations functions, from acquisition planning, soliciting, negotiating, market research, competition, and contract development. Serves as business advisor, buyer, and negotiator. Provides contracting support to the Combined Arms Center, Mission Command Center of Excellence, U.S. Disciplinary Barracks, 15th MP Brigade, IMCOM, MEDCOM, and other Fort Leavenworth tenant units. Supports all functions of contingency operations in support of Joint U.S. and Allied Forces.

Company Commander of the Headquarters company, consisting of a scout platoon, mortar platoon, medical platoon, and HQ staff sections. Responsible for planning, resourcing, and assessing collective training. Supervises and is responsible for the accountability, morale, discipline, training, and welfare of 214 Soldiers. Mentors, coaches, and trains the executive officer and platoon leaders on duties and responsibilities. Responsible for the professional development of officers and Soldiers in the unit. Provide tough, realistic training to prepare the company for wartime mission. Accountable for over $20 million worth of equipment.

Company Commander for a Light Infantry Battalion forward deployed to Iraq. Responsible for leading, training, safety, accountability, health, morale and welfare of 137 Soldiers consisting of three Rifle Platoons, an Advisor Support Team, a Base Command Group support element, and a Headquarters element conducting Advise and Assist Operations across Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Responsible for maintenance, accountability, and operational readiness for 33 tactical vehicles and Organizational and Theater Provided Equipment property valued in excess of over $35 million. Commands one of the Battalion's two Advise, Train, and Assist Companies that works with two Iraqi Army Battalions in the largest sector of Western Anbar in the Brigade.

Lead a 65 man Ranger Training Platoon consisting of 50 Ranger Students and 15 Ranger Instructors during the 21 day physically and mentally demanding mountain phase of Ranger School. Use the risk management process to safely train 11 platoons of students each year. Train Ranger Instructors to be technically and tactically proficient in platoon level reconnaissance, ambush, raid, airborne, and air assault operations. Evaluate performance of Ranger Instructors and ensure quality and standardization of instruction. Ensure Ranger Students meet course standards and make recommendations to the company commander for disposition of those who fail to meet the standard. Maintain accountability and readiness of over $247,000 worth of platoon equipment.

Assistant Operations Officer for the 5th Ranger Training Battalion, the Mountain Phase of Ranger School. Assists in planning and executing all training support for over 200 cadre and 2,750 Ranger Students annually. Responsible for operations order development and training standardization in support of the Ranger School Program of Instruction (POI). Primary coordinator for training conducted outside Camp Frank D. Merrill. Responsible for supervising the Battalion Tactical Operations Center (TOC) during field training exercises. Oversees changes to the Mountain Phase portion of the Ranger POI. Acts as the Battalion Operations Officer in his absence.

Executive Officer for a 188 man Stryker Headquarters and Headquarters Company. Manages the Commander's property valued at $36 million, to include the maintenance of 42 pieces of rolling stock, digital, satellite, and analog C4ISR systems, and an arms room that maintains multiple mortar systems, heavy and medium machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, 141 M4s, 10 M203s, and 23 M9s. Resources operations and training for the company, specialty platoons, and staff. Plans all logistical aspects of operations and is the logistical executor. Responsible for deploying the company to and from theater of operations, to include shipping all rolling stock and over 20 MILVAN and TRICON containers. Supervises the requisition of Class I, Class II, Class III, Class IV, Class V, and Class VII, and Class IX to maintain the company during extended operations.

Platoon Leader for a forward-deployed, 46 member, Stryker-equipped Infantry Platoon, consisting of three rifle squads, a weapons squad, and four Infantry Carrier Vehicles. Responsible for the training and tactical employment of the platoon in full spectrum operations with a focus on Urban Operations, limited visibility, and precision operations. Responsible for mastering and maintaining new weapons and equipment to include digitized command and control systems of four Infantry Stryker variants. Responsible for the combat readiness, physical fitness, health, welfare, morale, conduct and force protection of the platoon and the well-being of their families. Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of vehicles and organizational equipment valued in excess of $10 million.
