Upon my nuptials, I was contemplating on whether to change my last name to my husband's, I had to analyze my feelings towards the meaning. You see, my last name “Holub” means “pigeon” in Czech and I did not willingly embrace the species. I did my research and was awestruck how pigeons are extremely adaptive, communitive, and intelligent. I developed a great respect for the bird. The old adage, “soar with the eagles, or stoop with the pigeons”, was seemingly all wrong. Eagles are lone predators and opportunistic scavengers, which are not positive symbols for success in today’s volatile business environment. Instead, organizations need to inspire their employees to be pigeons. I am an analytical, customer-focused Training and Development Professional with a proven ability to successfully research, develop and deliver learning solutions to diverse populations and drive organizational performance. I have a strong ability to apply best practices, create, implement and manage employee development programs through creativity, innovation, excellent writing and presentation skills, computer proficiency, and attention to detail.
