Starting in 2008 as a temp employee, I have worked my way up to the Corporate Accountant position. I have always had a strong desire to learn new things and take on new tasks. Over the course of my tenure, I have done accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, budget preparation & analysis, as well as assisted with some payroll work. I feel that knowing all aspects of a position makes for a more well-rounded employee.

Currently RSM FPO is Quattro, Inc. Prior to that it was Franchise Service Options of Madison. I entered as a current student at MATC and worked my way up to a Staff Accountant position from an Accounts Payable staff member thanks to my hunger to learn new things and take on new tasks. I worked steadily as a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant I was responsible for the payables, bank reconciliations and preparing and analyzing the financial statements as well budget analysis. It was what I would consider a full spectrum position where you were able to see the whole monthly process from start to finish. I would describe Franchise Service Options as sort of a property management company but for franchise restaurant chains. As a Staff Accountant you worked with multiple clients on the same deadlines. Franchise Services Options was a fantastic company and I am grateful for the opportunities I was given. It later became RSM FPO, which was a subsidiary of a subsidiary of sorts of McGladrey & Pullen. There, the Staff Accountants became Client Account Managers but kept all of the same responsibilities. I had a chance to supervise my first employee and that was definitely a learning experience for me that I will take with me to each new endeavor.
