WEV empowers women through entrepreneurial development. Over the past three decades, WEV has expanded our entrepreneurial development programs to provide a robust continuum of services, from short-term, specialty training and advisory programs to comprehensive business planning and long-term consulting programs, all of which are complemented by our funding programs. For many years, clients came to WEV for our long-term business plan training program and our engagement with them often ended when the course did. Now, that is rarely the case. Running a successful business requires adapting and lifelong learning. Today, our interaction with clients is more holistic - with clients accessing multiple services concurrently over many months and years.WEV is the only U.S. Small Business Administration Women’s Business Center (WBC) and Microlender, and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties providing targeted microenterprise development services to women, minority, and low-income entrepreneurs. Services are provided in both English and Spanish to a wide range of entrepreneurs throughout California’s central coast region.
