With 5 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, where I achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, I’ve built a career grounded in leadership, IT, and security. My military service took me around Asia and Europe, spending most of my time in Germany, where I was primarily responsible for military compliance with Air Force regulations (AFIs) and managing the accompanying programs. Transitioning to the helpdesk and rising to team lead, I then entered the security side, gaining a comprehensive view of IT operations and cybersecurity. I hold A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications, which strengthen my technical expertise.My experience includes governance, risk management, compliance, and third-party vendor assessments, with a focus on creating secure, scalable IT environments. I have a deep understanding of IT operations and security frameworks, and I am dedicated to building effective, business-aligned security programs that mitigate risk while supporting organizational goals.Living with bipolar 1 disorder has given me an appreciation for disability and neurodivergent awareness, shaping my character and instilling a strong sense of resilience. Overcoming challenges against all odds has fueled my drive to educate others on cybersecurity and inspire innovation in IT management and security through my technical expertise, leadership, and public speaking.
