Program Manager for the Thomas Wyatt Turner (TWT) Fellowship, which brings graduate-level students from 1890 land-grant universities to Cornell University for one year of academic study, research and mentorship, and engages faculty and university leadership at Cornell and in the 1890 system to create stronger institutional bridges and opportunities for collaboration and shared research.

• Provided management, technical guidance, communications and field training for SRI-WAAPP (sriwestafrica.org), a 13-country, 3-year, $2m World Bank-funded sustainable rice farming project in West Africa, using the System of Rice Intensification. The project reached 50,000 direct beneficiaries and increased rice yields overall by 56% for irrigated rice and 86% for rainfed lowland rice• Led field trainings in French for extension and research staff in three regions of Senegal (Casamance, Peanut Basin and the Senegal River Valley) and Benin, and co-facilitated national field trainings in Togo and Côte d’Ivoire• Developed a geospatial mobile data-collection platform using open-source mobile survey software and ArcGIS Online, and trained M&E and extension staff from 13 countries in French and English through regional workshops in Benin and Senegal• Created project websites in French and English using Wordpress• Developed technical and communications materials, and led quarterly reporting

• Founding member of the county's food policy council• Collaboratively supported planning, fundraising and launch of a two-year process to create a food system plan for Tompkins County, which was successfully funded by the Tompkins County Legislature and a local foundation (www.tompkinsfoodfuture.org)• Researched possible intervention areas in Tompkins County, and food policy council work in other counties

• Training material / publication development for Peace Corps’ Office of Overseas Programming and Training Support, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Cornell University, and other clients• Authored and designed a 62-page technical manual and trainer toolkit for Peace Corps, with accompanying presentations and teaching guides

• Part of a four-person research team including two researchers from Cornell and two researchers from Abdou Moumouni University in Niger, exploring methods of increasing behavior change messaging around water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) through the West Africa Water Initiative (WAWI)• My research focus was on engaging traditional village leadership structures (i.e., village chiefs) in behavior change messaging

• Managed accounts for 16 clients, assisted lobbyists and drafted weekly reports on active legislation during the 2009 Washington state legislative session

Mentored and worked with at-risk, adjudicated youth in the Flathead Valley of Northwest Montana, focusing on gardening, outdoor recreation, and trail building. Managed the community garden.
