I am responsible for prosecuting a variety of violations and enforcing federal laws related to organized crime, child exploitation, wildlife trafficking, criminal immigration, drugs, firearms, public corruption, and asset forfeiture. As the Southern District of Texas is one of the busiest districts in the country, I have an average caseload of over one hundred active cases at a given time and appear in both magistrate and district court several times a week. As a former educational professional, I have a background in secondary education. I designed a high school current global issues curriculum which focused on student engagement and collaboration. I also worked with middle school youth in a mentor capacity and worked as a teaching assistant in a child development center.
