Workforce Development Board The Kerr-Tar Workforce Development Board (WDB) works in partnership with the Job Training Consortium to ensure a high-level performance and the achievement of goals in the development of a quality workforce in the six-county region of Caswell, Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren counties of North Carolina.OrganizationThe Workforce Development Board comprises 21 members representing each of the six counties in the region. Responsible for facilitating the identification and selection of world-class talent at all levels within the organization, particularly call center talent, using a wide variety of sourcing methods. Develops targeted sourcing strategies and utilizes recruiting technology to generate high quality candidate pools. Understands the employment market and trends. Develops detailed job postings and on-line screening questions with a thorough understanding of the key responsibilities and competencies necessary for success in the targeted job.

• Serves as recruiting and sourcing expert for assigned business units by fully understanding hiring needs, position specifications and search requirements.• Works with subject matter experts to build job descriptions and pre-screening questions to attract and retain high quality candidates.• Develops and implements effective recruiting strategies and best practices to source, attract, screen, recruit and select high quality candidates.• Source passive and active candidates through a variety of sourcing strategies as well as identifiy new talent pools to fill prospective database of candidates. • Support college and diversity recruiting along with Talent Management initiatives.

Successfully managed annual/progressive sales quota and achieved top sales distinction on a monthly basis. Products sold include Nortel, IBM/Rolm, Siemens, PictureTel and Mitel.
