As a full-time employee of CIRA:• Act as product owner of several CIRA systems to define and document requirements in order to add new functionality to these systems based on requests from external users or internal staff.• Create functional documentation and Axure prototypes based on the requirements to outline the changes and how they should function.• Work closely with the QA and Development teams to ensure the requirement documents reflect scope of the technical requirements for the project.

On contract to define as-is and to-be requirements for the redesign of existing HRSDC systems to fit into the future strategy for a unified application platform using Oracle BPM to design the BPMN processes.• Define the current ‘as-is’ system functionality based on analysis of existing systems, user feedback, surveys and other documentation. • Using Oracle BPM, document the current and future processes, defining the different roles, user and system activities.• Create Business Process Definition and Requirements documents to document the project objectives, the ‘as is’ processes, the existing issues, the ‘to be’ processes with the functional, data and security requirements needed for the ‘to be’ process. • Finalize the documentation based on user feedback.

• Lead JAD/JRP workshops with the client in order to capture requirements during the envisioning, planning and design phases.• Create functional documentation and functional Visio wireframes and/or Axure prototypes based on the requirements gathered during the client sessions.• Perform gap analysis as required to determine steps to meet client needs.• Work closely with the UX, QA and Technical teams to ensure the requirement documents reflect scope of the technical requirements for the project.• Maintain Issues log and create change request documents to identify new/changed requirements and obtain estimates for completing this extra/changed work• Develop and provide client training as required.

Worked on contracts with several Public Sector departments providing business analyst expertise.Conducted Joint Requirements Definition (JRD) as well as Joint Requirements Planning (JRP) sessions involving subject matter experts.Gathered requirements from stakeholders to determine needs and objectives either one-on-one interviews, group discussions or through a questionnaire developed by me.Performed functional and business requirement analysis and identified and monitored issues from identification to resolution.Analyzed and documented current business procedures and methods as well as legacy applications and databases through meetings with client representatives, documentation reviews, and research.Developed the UML based functional requirement use cases to identify business and function processes as well as a detailed statement of user requirements.Created detailed technical specifications outlining screen functionality, information and process flow, business rules, report and screen layouts, system interfaces and assumptions.

Delivered training on the complete suite of Oracle courses, including: basic and advanced SQL and PL/SQL using SQL*Plus as well as Procedure Builder; Database Administration; Data Modeling; Tuning Oracle Applications; Developing Applications using Oracle Procedures; Oracle Forms; Oracle Reports; and the Oracle Designer course curriculum. The last curriculum involved teaching all aspects of the Designer toolset utilizing the data and process modeling tools and diagrams as well as building database objects, and producing documentation. This required in-depth analysis and understanding of all necessary products.
