At the CBS affiliate out of market 216 (Peoria/Bloomington), I oversaw all creative aspects that fell outside of journalism including promotions, on-air infographics, and digital shorts. I was frequently called on when news stories required more complex graphic design and information to convey information. Additionally, I was brough in to manage high-end commercial advertising production, both long and short form. Including coordination between clients, the sales department, and the creative services team. In many cases providing motion graphics and animation.• Developed efficiencies including the implementation of high-level Mogrts to speed up workflow.• Assisted in the redesign and reformat of a local lifestyle show.• Revolutionized the look of a redesigned studio with dynamic graphics for monitor walls.• Spearheaded the rebuilding of news graphics and commercial formats for an HD upgrade.

After a grant allowed the Cable access channel in East Peoria Illinois to rebuild to accommodate HD broadcast and early programing streaming, I was recruited to coordinate the community productions including civic events, town hall meetings and sporting events. This included developing procedures and guides to maintain high-quality production helmed by a largely amateur staff, many of whom went on to work in the greater broadcast industry. • Supervised the East Peoria High School TV club inspiring future television producers.• Director of sports broadcasting including full basketball and football games as well as the “Raider Sports Review” coaches' show.• Develop and implement strategies to increase viewership and engagement with community programming.

Pioneered by Barrington Broadcasting Group as a precursor to remote work; the that brought me on to develop a “Creative Services Hub” in which news assets, promotions, and original graphic packages could be designed and updated remotely to allow smaller markets on opposite sides of the nation to stay on the cutting edge. Event-specific campaigns were provided for general audiences and regionally specific demographics that both accommodated a rapidly changing broadcast standard and maintained a level of quality that led to previously unheard-of brand awareness and audience engagement.• Remotely designed original graphics packages including franchise animation, contest logos, print elements, vehicle graphics, and modern branding style guides for KGBT, KTVO, WPDE, WACH, KRCG, KHQA, and KVII newscasts plus original programs creating efficiencies that increased local production.• Rebuilt existing graphics and branding to accommodate broadcast standards including widescreen SD and Full HD.• Designed event-specific elements that maintained graphic style specifications including election coverage, holiday programming, and sports specials.• Interpreted the needs of vastly different stations to ensure high-quality graphics and production.
