Specialist Retails IS also offered a level of support to a number of other businesses; Property, Syncro Engineering and Farmcare, as well as working on wider group strategic initiatives, for the Chief Executive Office.This position reported into the Head of IS, and has senior accountability for Customer Services (Helpdesk), Business Management, Service Management, and Infrastructure, across the entire division. The Head of Operations included responsibility for implementing and managing policies/procedures and service across the units.The Helpdesk manage 1st and 2nd line support for all Head Office and national retail branches. The Business Management function consists of a number of Business relationship managers and Business Analysts who manage the relationship with the business and the analysis of requirements through to delivery. The Service Management function manages the IS procurement, negotiation and management of Supplier relationships, contracts, commercials and SLA's.The Infrastructure function manage the networking Hardware, and Software infrastructure both internally and also in conjunction with various 3rd parties.In addition to leading this team, I was also still part of the Travelcare Senior Management team, (as Head of IT - equivalent to IT Director position) and therefore met regularly with Department Heads to evolve strategic plans, and to maintain operational support within the Group.
