Helping and caring for others is at the heart of my career aspirations. I am currently pursuing a masters degree in Healthcare Administration at Kean University. I have also had four years of experience in emergency care and health education. At Rutgers University, I focused on Public Health at the Edward J. Bloustein School as well as Psychology at the School of Arts and Science. I am compassionate about educating others on healthy living and taking care of individuals who are ill. Interned under Dr. Steven Levin at the Eric. B. Chandler Medical Health Center has allowed me to promote a Doctor-Patient Portal and interpret abilities for those who do not speak English. I also volunteered at the First Aid Squad where I learned emergency preparedness, taking vital signs, and communicating clearly with patients. Working at the NJ Advanced Eye Care optometry office and AMPM medical billing office has also helped me gain a lot more experience in regards to not only the healthcare side, but the health administration side as well. I have a strong interest in assessing emergencies of all kinds, mainly because I have had extensive hands on medical experience in high-energy call environments, including the the First Aid Squad, NJ Advanced Eye Care optometry office, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, and Eric B. Chandler Medical Health Center. I have monitored patients for changes, interacted with hospital staff, and administered infusion medications. Being dedicated to assisting people in need and being a determined individual, I plan to find work in the Public Health and medical field, where I can not only help out the people in my community, but also where I can improve myself as an individual along the way.
