The core responsibility of my work at Reed Smith was Process Design and Improvement for teams at Reed Smith and for their clients. By doing so we increased the profitability of matters at Reed Smith and the cost effectiveness for clients. I also served as a Project Manager for several high stakes matters, creating project plans and milestones, scheduling work, tracking goals, and ensuring that deadlines were met. I received the highest possible performance review (5) for my work. I left Reed Smith to operate my father’s business.- Consulted with a litigation team for a leading health insurance provider to develop a process for managing a 20M+ Alternative Fee Arrangement significantly improving profitability and utilization.- Served as Project Manager for Kaiser Permanente, Bank of America, Ricoh, and Highway technologies matters.- Managed client facing extranet solutions, gathering information from clients to create Product Requirements Documents and collaborated with IT resources for development and implementation.- Provided onsite consulting to assist clients with process improvement, solution identification, and project management.

During my tenure Plantronics became embroiled in the most critical legal matters in company history. I served as Project Manager on these matters and ensured that deadlines were met. Success required working extremely long hours and learning how to perform the work of many other roles. I was awarded the highest performance review possible, limited to the top 2% of the company for my work. I left Plantronics to pursue an opportunity at Reed Smith.- Developed in-house capability to manage electronic discovery costs, identified and implemented a technological solution with IT and Network Security that resulted in an immediate cost savings of $240,000 (700% ROI over purchase) in our Patent and Trade Secret litigation. To date it has resulted in savings of over $630,000.- Managed a seven-figure discovery budget for six simultaneous litigation matters. Represented Plantronics as a 30(b)(6) deponent on topics intellectual property, internal processes, and information technology systems.- Served as legal team stakeholder and project manager for an international product recall.- Lead a team in creating compliance website that provides users with information and allows them to fill out a Salesforce.com (SFDC) form. The SFDC data is then converted by middleware to Oracle and sent via EDI to a third party. Acceptance & UX Testing followed. Project completed by deadline. - Planned and delivered in-person Records Retention process training for over 500 associates in the US, EMEA, and APAC, collected feedback, and audited for effectiveness. Metrics revealed positive reception and decrease in .PST file sizes. - Investigated concerns regarding stolen development assets and reported findings. Improved Product Development Process by creating an asset tracking system and confidentiality related deliverables.

After becoming full time I took a larger role at Plantronics. I operated independently to resolve situations, served as a point of contact for our Customer Care team, maintained documentation and required records, and improved the processes of Legal. Due to the amount of planning, coordination, and Project Management this required, I took classes in Project Management and was promoted to Legal Project Manager.- Renegotiated Legal IT contracts. Successfully secured a 60% cost reduction in annual spend on Records Retention software while acquiring improved capabilities. - Created “LRM – Legal Review for Marketing” an online work request, tracking, and delivery tool for Marketing to request work from Legal via Sharepoint. This improved response time, visibility, and provided accurate metrics for business use. The platform has since been modified to manage the entire “Creative Work Request” process. - Lead the Operations, Global Customer Care (“GCC”) team in redesigning the Alleged Customer Incident Process, collaborated with IT to implement changes in Salesforce.com, and retrained front-line service staff locally and internationally on the new process, resulting in improved response time to critical legal issues, information gathering, and a near 50% reduction in unnecessary escalations. - Lead a team collecting complex product development deliverables from 31 associates at all levels of management across Europe, Asia, and North America, successfully meeting a two-week court mandated deadline.- Arranged for the forensic preservation of the data of 16 custodians in a remote office in response to allegations of sexual harassment. Conducted an investigation and recovered supposedly “deleted” data that lead to a favorable settlement.

I began my career as a Legal Intern at Plantronics. At first I performed research and work for Marketing, Quality, and other teams under Attorney review. I earned the trust to operate independently and was also brought over the wall on more sensitive matters. - Researched legal matters for HR, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, IT, and Engineering using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other sources to assist with business decisions and litigation. - Collaborated and coordinated with vendors and outside counsel on intellectual property litigation. - Performed a full file audit for Plantronics entire Trademark Portfolio.
