Managed software development team that provided 24/7 application support for manufacturing plants in the US, Mexico and Canada. The extensive software portfolio responsibilities included enterprise systems, internet, and legacy systems which handled financial management, order processing, engineering design, Bill of Materials, chassis scheduling, factory systems control, warehouse automation, materials tracking and warranty compliance. Among my many accomplishments are significant contributions in managing rapid change through efficiencies in delivery processes and reduction of budgets while increasing services and building positive focused teams. My background includes Applied Six Sigma, Greenbelt, Champion, and Lean training. I utilized these principles in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects. In addition, I implemented the change control process in support of Sarbanes-Oxley that was a model for other divisions and introduced ITIL practices into the group.

Managed 16 systems analysts and two business analysts working numerous concurrent projects. Insurance rating engine revisions were developed on three platforms (mainframe, Windows and DOS) in three languages (COBOL/COBOLII, BASIC, VISUAL BASIC). Seven to 15 individuals per project.Directed project leads for development of a new Credit Point of Sale program, Windows based policy handling, and corporate web page.

1996 to 1997 - Director of Undergraduate Advisement for the Coles College of Business and Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship - Directed Undergraduate Advisement for over 800 ndergraduates. - Taught BA101 - freshman/non-business survey course in basic business principles. - Taught MGT360 - upper division course covering all business areas including accounting, finance, management, human resources, statistics, planning, strategy, inventory management and logistics. 1993 to 1997 - Project Manager/Coordinator Carpet History Project - Responsible for a $750,000, three year grant. Project brought in under budget. - Managed a staff of 10 professors and 35 students. - Published two books, bibliography, dictionary and numerous oral histories. - Coordinated research with local carpet companies, historians and the Carpet and Rug Institute.
