Among other side tasks, mainly responsible to decouple from a RoR monolith the JavaScript code to measure, in the client side, certain metrics of a large marketing application built with RoR, Python and Go. Based on the original source code, the new project was written from scratch, focused on tests, modularity, and optimization.

After Banot.net closed down, I was hired by CiTEC for two main targets:* continue the development and support of some started Rails 3+ projects* join to development of a new project for management the state of a bus fleet, specifically the workflow of its vehicles' repair at internal or external garages, internally known as Fleetview.In these projects we used Rails 3 and 4, PostgreSQL, Redis, Knockout and even, when we started to split the monolith into microservices, AngularJS.To be honest, I admit that it wasn't an easy decision to leave the Fleetview project, because in my opinion it is a very interesting project with big projection and a lot of features to be implemented.

Banot.net was a small consultancy and software development company. I met their great, talented and young team in a two-week Ruby on Rails introduction course given by them. After that, I had the opportunity to join them as a Frontend developer. Without a doubt, this company was a turning point in my professional life, where I learned a lot and started my path with Ruby on Rails.I was there until the company had to close its doors. During that time I participated in several projects, most of them in Ruby on Rails 3+ and a couple of sites built with Drupal. Also, I started to use Vim - my current IDE - and I acquired ability and fluency with the command line.

After a couple of months giving technical support at Siemens Healthcare, I started my career as Web developer at Inventiaplus, formerly known as e-Pyme.For three years I was building different kind of web-based products, from simple web pages for organizations to relatively complex applications, such as booking systems or work orders management.Te software and tools used were* The LAMP/MAMP stack for the backend, using PHP, MySQL and Apache. * HTML, vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, Mootools in the frontend side.* SVN and Git as CVS.* Eclipse and Netbeans as IDE.

I started to work at Siemens Healthcare in the `Drago AE` project, an interesting electronic medical records web-based application. I was hired by GFI Spain as a member of the deployment and technical support team. I was hoping to be part of the development team, but then I realized that in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the company did not have this department.I was supporting the deployment process and giving technical support. I also started a project with Dokuwiki in which I centralized the existing internal documentation, besides to add the new that I created for each undocumented process.Some of the tools that I used there were Mantis bus tracker, VNC to access and do maintenance of remote machines, Toad for Oracle and Openlink as HL7 Interface engine.
