As a Graduate Student Instructor, I have previously taught lab sections for general and organic chemistry and am currently teaching a second general chemistry lab. In this role, I have supervised a large group of students performing complex experiments with potentially hazardous materials. I have also become skilled into distilling difficult concepts down to the level where they are understandable by any given student.

In the group of Dan Stamper-Kurn, I worked as part of a cohesive team building an apparatus to perform the first laser cooling and trapping of titanium. I had the opportunity to participate in many aspects of instrumental design and construction, particularly in laser/optical systems and ultra-high vacuum systems.
