Founder/Product Architect/ Development Manager/ Business DevelopmentInfomedix Dec 1999 - Nov 2008InfoMedix was established in early 2000 out of a consulting solution for the Mercy Group of hospitals in 1999. The engagement with Mercy was to design and build a prototype web system to retrieve scanned patient data stored in TIFF Images. Cameron developed the solution into a product opportunity, negotiating with the hospital to commercialise the work and subsequently set up the joint venture company InfoMedix between himself and Object Consulting Pty Ltd. Under Cameron's delivery InfoMedix grew to a staff of 22 and was anticipated to double its’ revenue in the next financial year. The main InfoMedix product was a large scale application that provided a single secure web based view of a patient’s medical record by drawing all electronic information available together and combining it with scanned paper records. The system was designed to be highly scaleable (100’s-1000’s of millions of elements per node), robust and have a rich set of interfaces for collecting and interpreting information from a wide range of systems. The system was targeted at hospital networks that had an issue with sharing/transporting and storing medical records.Cameron's role was product owner, tech team lead but inevitably included covering all roles as and when the need arose as is the case with any small organically grown business.
