About Jason Sherlock

Over the years I have gained a diverse range of strengths across multiple industries. My technical background project management and operational change management skills have allowed me to successfully deliver large-scale transformational changes in multiple organisations and in different countries. My most recent role with Equifax is one that has brough many years of personal growth and developed into a style of delivery and work ethic which I am proud of. To support this, I was awarded in 2021/22 end of year awards, 1 of 6 company value awards out of a pool of ~1400 people. This was in the value category of "Say/Do". I currently manage a range of multi year deliveries for transformation. These range from security enhancements, cloud migrations, data migrations, enterprise architecture alignment and supporting strategy work. In addition to these, I manage the governance stream within our ANZ Equifax Sustainability Program which I am very passionate about. I am also part of the Customer Communication Council developing our client communication and governance strategy in relation to all client transformation engagement, assessing client impacts and uptake of new APIs, products and services.I take great pride in my work and am committed to delivering the best outcomes for internal and external clients. With my extensive experience working in various industries and company sizes, I have developed exceptional commercial awareness, strong decision making and excellent negotiating and stakeholder management skills.Over the last 7 years, I have worked on large-scale projects within the Credit, Data, and Analytical industry, spanning across multiple products, teams, and countries. My projects have included organisational wide technical delivery, business process delivery, large scale data assets migrations, merger and acquisition programs, launching new products and services, and navigating data privacy laws and regulations in both the UK and Australia. I have also worked with regulators to support license approvals within Open Banking in the UK.I thrive on challenges, I am not afraid to make mistakes (how else do we learn?) and never shy away from asking those difficult discussions if its right for the customer and business. If you would like to know more about my experiences, previous roles and projects or would like to discuss a potential opportunity, my contact details are up to date.

  • Equifax - Australia
    Project Manager
    Equifax - Australia Jul 2018 - Feb 2022
    Melbourne, Australia
Starting within the Client Implementation team, I supported the design and refinement of our CCR data onboarding processes and developing a joined up Corrections process between Commercial and Consumer teams. The team also supported the scoping and implementation of Credit Decisioning Product with clients throughout Australia and New Zealand. After just under 1 year, this role quickly transformed into me moving into the Transformation stream and managing a large change impacting all 1400 employees in A/NZ over the last 2.5 years. I stepped into the Program lead role to manage the transition from Microsoft Office to Google Workspace which involved moving our on-premise data into the cloud but also the change management aspect required for everyone to be able to leverage the new collaboration tools. The program has involved a number of technical changes, considerations as well as regulatory, legal and governance compliance requirements. This has involved large data migrations, implementing new security and policies as well as strategic vendor management. I have had to create and manage company wide change strategy and communication plans. I have hosted and delivered targeted training sessions and presented company updates to the entire region (1400 colleagues) when required. I have managed senior stakeholders, steering committees, all people leaders and a range of business stakeholders ensuring key, strategic decisions are made with all regulatory and legal compliance obligations are being considered and met. The program over the 2.5 years has required me to deliver a clear strategic roadmap from design and maintenance through to execution whilst highlighting risk & risk mitigation strategies, managing dependencies. Creating a business case from design through to approval and then managing the resources across multiple streams of work ensuring the program has delivered its objectives, under budget.
