Hello! My name is Dillon Nelson and I'm an Estimator at Northshore Paving Services.I've been in the construction industry my entire life. Growing up my father worked at Wilder (now Granite Construction), and in 1996 established Team Nelson. I spent summers working around the shop and in the field. While attending Central Washington University I completed an internship with Granite Construction in Pasco, WA. I graduated from Central Washington University in 2011 with a bachelors degree in Construction Management. That same summer I began working at Kiewit Bridge & Marine. I spent a year in Vancouver, WA estimating at the district office, and a year in Annapolis, MD working as a field engineer during the rehabilitation project of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. In the summer of 2013 I returned to the pacific northwest to begin working at the family business, where I remained until spring of 2024. After much thought and prayer, I decided it was time to pave my own path outside the family business and ironically accepted an opportunity with Northshore Paving Services. During my career I completed an MBA at Seattle University, and graduated in the spring of 2020. It was an exciting experience and also challenging, especially with our oldest two sons being born during my time as a student. Thankfully my wife Stephanie is a rockstar and gave me the support needed to succeed! The program gave me a better understanding of what makes a business exceptional and drives long-term competitive advantage, how to be a good coach/leader, and the importance of self-reflection to achieve continuous growth as an individual both personally and professionally. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my wife Stephanie, and our three sons Drake, Deegan, and Davin. We enjoy going on local outings and weekend adventures to places like eastern Washington, San Juan Islands, and anywhere new we haven't been! I also have a passion for motorsports and love to ride dirt bikes and snowmobiles with family and friends!
