He served as a Project Manager on several projects in the public and private sector. Serving as a liaison to ensure deliverables are met on a timely basis, attending onsite meetings, coordinating efforts for requirements gathering and analysis, Dimitri plans, organizes and leads weekly project updates with client stakeholders. He assisted in leading project management initiatives for projects such as Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, and Datacenter Migrations. Dimitri worked in a collaborative environment with several other entrepreneurs, innovators and start-ups. He attended technology start-up events, meetings, and activities to identify opportunities and recruit talents for projects. Dimitri played a key role in a small team that worked on an initiative with Rensselaer County IDA to bring an internationally known Chinese Incubator to the Capital Region. He facilitated a series of meetings that lasted the full day and evening with the CEO of US operations and an executive director of the company. During this time period Dimitri worked on several start-ups in the Capital Region. He gained a lot entrepreneurial experience working with multiple diverse teams developing business plans, marketing strategies, and financials. He spent tremendous time researching demographics throughout the NYS Capital Region to collect data in areas such as consumer spending habits and average household income. He met with, interviewed and consulted independent restaurant owners on technology and inefficiencies in business operations. Some projects included home health aid agency, restaurant technology development, educational training for senior citizens, food service, and bike sharing.

Projects: Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP), and Health Care Reform Act (HCRA) Audits:Key member of the KPMG PMO for the DSRIP engagement, in which there were over 120 team members in offices across the Northeast and Canada. Held the responsibilities of financial and communications project management, Dimitri was in charge of managing an 84-million-dollar budget and tracking hours billed, budgets, and actual reports. Collected project deliverables from over 12 KPMG teams and developed monthly detailed project reports for DOH. Also produced voucher packets explaining the brake out of hours billed per deliverable. In the capacity of a communications project manager, he was responsible for managing communications from the client to all 120 team members in a weekly newsletter for all resources and in meetings with project team directors. Delivered updates on the bi-weekly all hands call and assisted in organizing KPMG team events. On the HCRA engagement, Dimitri participated on payor and provider audits of claims data using CaseWare IDEA, a statistical analysis tool. Also, acted as a primary point of contact between the KPMG team and the insurance agencies during the audit process.

School Of Business

At the School of Business, based on his academic performance and ability to connect with students, Dimitri was selected as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Information Technology Management 215. He was assisting in educating over 350 students per semester, and instructed Excel and Access exam review sessions for hundreds of students at a time. Dimitri conducted office hours five times a week for students who needed extra help and inputted grades into the MyITLab and Blackboard Learning Systems.

Dimitri’s senior capstone course in Information Technology Management took place at Golub Corporation working with Price Chopper’s Shops4U Home Delivery program. He had to collect, clean, and mine data in search of information technology solutions to optimize grocery delivery. Dimitri worked with a small team utilizing big data sets from Price Chopper’s 130 locations to perform analysis on consumer shopping trends and delivery routes. During this semester long project, Dimitri and his team utilized tools such as Excel, Access, and Tableau. His team also performed a comparative analysis of Google Maps to a routing software developed by a local engineering firm. At the end of the semester, Dimitri and his team presented their work to Golub Corporation senior management. This resulted in Price Chopper adopting a more sophisticated routing software for their vehicles.

Dimitri was among the team who initially thought out and developed MuniRoute. This technology start-up was involved in Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping of roads and bridges in the State of New York, with the goal of assisting in the navigation of commercial trucks caring fright to save costs, reduce carbon emissions, and improve the livability of communities. Dimitri recruited over 12 students for internships to contribute to the development of MuniRoute, and acted as a deal maker, connecting business professionals in order to form synergistic relationships.

Before graduating from SUNY Albany with a dual major, Dimitri interned with KPMG on high profile projects such as NYS DOH Health Benefit Exchange (HBX). During his internship, he researched health related RFPs from the State and Federal Government, summarized reports issued by the Inspector General to formulate proposal responses, and supported the project management team. At the end of the competitive summer-long internship program, Dimitri was offered a full-time position that he accepted after graduation.

Throughout his time at ARMA, Dimitri participated in several business initiatives across the United States and internationally. He helped organize and lead breakout sessions at the Smart Cities & Digital Society: Emerging Business Opportunities consortium held at SUNY Oneonta. Dimitri worked with several student interns at ARMA from SUNY Albany, Union College and RPI. He researched the Marcellus Shale, Hydrofracking, Gas and Oil drilling, and Transportation markets. He was a member of a team of interns and professionals that developed an online learning platform for university students in Malaysia. He helped create marketing materials to target the commercial trucking industry. Conducted a market analysis on GPS providers, identified competitors within the freight transportation industry and preformed a SWOT analysis.

Dimitri was identified by his accounting professor and referred for this internship. At Perrone, he worked directly under the CFO, CEO and COO. Dimitri assisted in creating a cost analysis model to be implemented into an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Analyzed costs incurred in the leather finishing process and attended daily sprint meetings with the production team. Through the summer, Dimitri gave daily updates to the team he was working with and weekly updates to executive leadership.

Dimitri was accepted into a group of selected High School students for a summer volunteer program at the hospital. He joined the Central Supply office, and was responsible for inventory tracking, transporting supplies, and organizing all medical supplies after weekly deliveries. He also job shadowed the staff running the business office.
