In my role as a Lex Leader, I help spearhead national initiatives aimed at improving the transition experience for young people aging out of foster care. Our primary focus as a collaborative with Foster Club and Youth Villages is on creating a playbook on co-design that improves communication and relationships between foster youth and child welfare workers. Key Responsibilities include collaborating with foster care professionals and foster youth to ensure the handbook meets their needs, implementing project management strategies to aid in successfully rolling out and adopting the book, and presenting at key summits and convenings to help speak on my expertise

With a strong understanding of the challenges faced by foster youth, I've built strong, collaborative relationships with youth, professionals, and stakeholders. I've represented One Voice Impact at state, local, and national levels, showcasing my adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments. My reputation for building strong, diverse relationships is a testament to my excellent interpersonal and critical-thinking abilities.

I successfully built strong relationships with legislators, fostering better cooperation between One Voice Impact and government bodies. I developed agenda items for council meetings to create an organized and collaborative environment. I also led council meetings to plan and coordinate reports from other engagements that members are involved in. I demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills by effectively managing political discussions with an open-minded approach. Additionally, I held individual meetings to establish rapport and established peer-mentoring withing my peers advocating in the same spaces.
