In my role as Lead Developer at Thinkstock, I was instrumental in launching two distinct e-commerce platforms dedicated to stock photos and stock videos, addressing the needs of a high-traffic online environment. My responsibilities spanned from web development to the strategic architecture of server systems designed for high availability and resilience. In collaboration with another developer, we created a server setup where front-end servers could fail or be taken offline without disrupting the service, ensuring continuous operation. A separate database server with a RAID array was established for data redundancy and protection, with the entire system designed to meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards for financial and data security.Expanding my role to intersect with digital marketing, I worked closely with the Marketing Director to implement an email marketing strategy, aiming to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. This initiative involved integrating advanced email marketing tools with our e-commerce infrastructure, allowing for targeted campaigns, automated communications, and effective impact measurement. This collaborative effort not only bolstered Thinkstock's digital marketing outreach but also ensured a seamless and engaging customer journey across our stock imagery platforms, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to digital commerce and marketing integration.
