In my role as a build technician at Evolito, I am responsible for manufacturing sub-assemblies and completing final assembly according to specified requirements. Specifically, I manufacture axial flux technology, which is a type of electric propulsion system known for its efficiency and compact design. This technology is utilised in electric propulsion units and motor control units.My duties include ensuring that manufacturing build, inspection, and test times are adhered to, following manufacturing build plans meticulously, and conducting rework of production parts when necessary. I also perform assembly alignment tasks as needed to maintain the required standards of workmanship and product quality.I collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop methods and procedures aimed at enhancing the manufacturing process.Furthermore, within my role, I work with the battery manufacturing team (formally known as ElectroFlight) at Evolito. I am involved in the entire assembly process, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality at every stage. My tasks include assembling low-voltage and high-voltage battery components, wire bonding, robotic welding, managing inventory, troubleshooting defects, and documenting manufacturing data. I collaborate closely with the manufacturing engineering team to enhance processes, equipment, and tooling, as well as develop repair solutions. This role demands attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure the delivery of state-of-the-art battery technology for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
