I started CalderaWP with Josh Pollock to market my plugin Caldera Forms.While there, my role was lead developer and was tasked to maintain the plugin and write all the add-ons, and other plugins for the company.

While at humble, I was responsible for the design, development, implementation, and deployment of the entire API system.The system is a cloud based Point Of Sale with Sage One integration, for accounting, and SnapScan for additional payment processing.Notable Research and Development:I designed and developed a network device that contained an embedded server system to operate receipt printers via web interface, across the LAN.

My role was the design, development, deployment, and implementation as well as the server monitoring and maintenance of a platform called Redworld.This was a system aimed at managing stock and orders of mobile handsets and contracts for Vodacom Stores to be implemented across South Africa. Since the system contained financial and personal records, Security was priority.It was developed behind an access controlled VPN that is only accessible via a designated APN on the Vodacom mobile network.In addition to stock control, it also featured Staff and Customer Relations functionality, high-availability analytics and reporting as well as third-party integrations for SMS and notifications.Notable Challenges, Research, and Development:The system was built as a core API with the web as a client. This led to an Android and IOS app being created for real-time sales reports across the country, with no infrastructure changes.In order to achieve high availability, the system needed the fastest response time possible, and real-time reporting led to developing multiple layers using both MongoDB and MySQL together.It has been running, unmanned for the last 5 years without a disruption.

An online learning platform for distance learning and studies.In addition to this, I was responsible for new research into internet technologies, particularly with databases and networking.Researched and co-authored the Morgan Project. A peer reviewed paper highlighting the use of internet technologies to create social, shared learning spaces.
