Mainly a summer position, the responsibilities of a lead instructor are to nurture students and assist in their STEM education. A camp instructor is to educate students on their topic while overseeing the activities in the classroom and ensuring order is kept throughout the course. A camp instructor is to maintain professionalism when teaching, use problem-solving skills to assist students where necessary, and think strategically to challenge students while advancing their education at all times. The same skills are required for workshop events, although these events are more hands-on and require one-on-one, supportive time with students, being attentive to their questions in a smaller class setting. These positions are outside of the summer camp schedule.Furthermore, as part of this job, organizing materials for classes or personalized sessions are of utmost importance. This role requires organization and consistent cleanliness of workstations, technology, and any utilized storage devices, such as thumb drives. Setup and breakdown of camp materials before each week is also done to ensure neat working environments for students.Certain roles have been completed jointly with members of the administrative team, enabling the ability to grow further into more independent, administrative, and impactful positions within the nonprofit as my time with them continues forward.

The Garden Shop Sales Associate role requires a balance of maintaining the cleanliness of the Garden Shop grounds, organization of Christmas tree sections, and politeness in a demanding and physical space. The goal of the associate is to ensure the customer leaves both satisfied and with the Christmas goods they were searching for. This role requires lifting of heavy objects frequently and endurance of cold temperatures, often sub-freezing. This role was acquired as part of a long-standing annual partnership between Stew Leonard's and Immaculate High School. This position was attained during my 12th Grade experience at Immaculate High School.
